About Us
Maharashtra Entrepreneurship Development and Growth in Employment (MahaEDGE) is a joint initiative of MPBCDC and MAHAPREIT, formed to empower 2,00,000+ beneficiaries from the target communities.
MahaEDGE will implement the objectives of Pradhan Mantri Anusuchit Jaati Abhyuday Yojna (PM-AJAY) through its programs. Its aim is to generate additional employment opportunities through skill development, income generating schemes and other initiatives.
The 3 years plan for this initiative includes
Training 2,00,000 beneficiaries from target communities on employability and entrepreneurship skills.
Creating infrastructure needed for availing income generating opportunities.
Collaborating with various skilling programs at state and central level for necessary funding.

Objectives
Mahatma Phule Backward Class Development Corporation (MPBCDC) is a Government of Maharashtra State PSU under the Department of Social Justice. Its main objective is to bring about the economic upliftment of the economically weak families of the Scheduled Castes and Neo-Buddhists in the state of Maharashtra and to provide financial assistance for self-employment under various schemes to uplift the living standards of the dependents of unsanitary cleaners.

Objectives
Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology Limited (MAHAPREIT) is a wholly owned subsidiary Company of Mahatma Phule Backward Class Development Corporation (MPBCDC)-A Government of Maharashtra State PSU. The primary objective of this company is to venture into businesses related to solar energy projects, decarbonization, energy efficiency, battery storage solutions, alternative fuel cell technologies, and addressing climate issues.
